CERTIFICATE OF COMPETENCY PROCEDURE

1.            Purpose

To ensure that only persons who hold the appropriate certificates of competency are permitted to perform jobs as defined our constitution.

 

2.            Scope

This procedure applies to all coaches and managers working under MSBC control.

 

3.            Responsibilities

The Coaches Co-Ordinator is responsible for checking that all coaches have the correct certification.

 

The Umpire Co-Ordinator is responsible for checking that all umpires have the correct certification or have attended a workshop run by the MWBU.

 

The Managers Co-Ordinator is responsible for checking that all managers have attended the appropriate meetings etc.

 

4.            Procedure

4.1.        Details of Coach’s certification wherever possible.

The Coaches Co-Ordinator shall obtain details of the Coach’s certification held by our coaches. The Coaches Co-Ordinator shall enter the details onto the “Training Register”.

4.2.        Details of Manager’s course wherever possible.

The Managers Co-Ordinator shall obtain details of the Managers training held by our Managers. The Managers Co-Ordinator shall enter the details onto the “Training Register”.

 

4.3.        Details of Umpire’s course wherever possible.

The Umpire Co-Ordinator shall obtain details of the Umpires training held by the League. The Umpire Co-Ordinator shall enter the details onto the “Training Register”.

 

4.4.        Details of training course run for teams or players.

A coach or coach’s that run a training season on a specific subject (e.g. sliding, pitching, catching etc) will arrange for the participants to fill in the “Training Register”. The Coaches advisor shall keep a copy of the “Training Register”.
